Are you still hiding behind your website?
Behind the tech?
Behind the copy?

I’ve seen women hold back on their website saying they can’t handle tech. Saying they can’t afford to hire someone either.

I’ve seen women hide behind ‘Oh, I’m no good at writing’.

I’ve seen women hide behind “But there are no words to describe what I do”

I’ve seen women hide behind “Oh I have to do XYZ first”.

But at the end of the day, it’s still just hiding.

It’s hiding from owning your truth.
It’s hiding from owning your message.
It’s hiding from being seen, been heard.

It’s about hiding.
It’s about playing small.
It’s about playing safe.
It’s about staying comfortable.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with staying safe and comfortable. As long as it’s a conscious decision. As long as you’re not ‘pretending’ to be in business, ‘pretending’ to do the work…..

Being in business is uncomfortable for most of us.

Because it requires us to step up and be visible.
It requires us, nay, DEMANDS that we step up and OWN who we are and what we do.

And that is the really scary part.

That is what really holds us back.

We’re afraid to open up and be seen. To speak up and be heard.

And so instead, we hide.
We pretend we’re working on our website – when we’re just playing around with the WordPress.
We pretend we’re in business – when we’re just playing around in FB groups.
We pretend we’re doing the work – when we’re just spending hours at the computer with no clear focus.

So today, I’m inviting you to look within and check – are you still in HIDING?

What are you hiding behind?

And more importantly, Why?
