I had a very interesting conversation with a client earlier.
She’d signed me up to help with her launch – 1:1 mentoring sessions.
A few weeks after we’d mapped out her launch plan with dates etc, she came back and said
“Richa, I just can’t do this! There’s too much going on in my life right now!”
She’s mom to 8 kids. Grandma to a few. Wife. Business Owner. Consultant. And wears a bunch of other hats as well. Oh, and they have school holidays for 2 weeks. And her elder daughter is due to deliver a baby the next month.
So yep – she did actually have a LOT going on.
So I told her, okay let’s move out the date for your launch; and today let’s plan out your launch trigger and marketing content. So we did that over the next hour. And we even mapped out how long it’d take her to actually create that content…and it turns out….
She can EASILY create her ENTIRE launch & marketing content in ~20 hours.
And ALL her marketing content for the year in ONE week!! That is….if she had a week to just focus on CREATING her marketing content….
You know with kids running around the house, lunch boxes to be made, a grand kid on the way, clients to service……how the heck is she ever gonna get a WHOLE WEEK to do this…!?!@?! ??
So then we sat and broke it down in to even smaller chunk. 1 hour chunks. 3 hour chunks, that she can still fit in here and there in her schedule. And still have all her content ready, if not in a week, well, then in 4 weeks! Which is still a win!!
ANd then I asked her – so when does she want to do the launch? How much does she want to move it out by? And she said
“Er, it looks like we can actually stick to these dates !!”
I totally love it when clients have such breakthroughs!!
To go from “there’s no way I could ever do this” to “oh damn, this is do-able!!!”
Why am I sharing this story?
I know there are many of you still struggling in your business.
Still trying to figure out the right path, the right package, the right niche….
I want you to know that no matter how difficult or impossible it seems right now – there’s ALWAYS a way!!
Sometimes, you can’t see the path yourself. You need someone else to shine a light on it for you. Or to hold up a mirror to you. Go get that help. Rome wasn’t built alone. It takes a tribe. Go find yours.
Sometimes it’s just about putting one foot in front of the other. Doing what you can, when you can. Just do it. Don’t ever stop. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.
But you gotta keep going. Never ever give up!
There’s always a way! You just gotta find it!
And… remember, what got you here, won’t get you there.
Doing the same thing over and over again – and expecting different results – that’s insanity.
You HAVE to have the courage to change track, or change your strategy, or simply get the help you need.
Yes, that takes courage.
We’re so hell bent on doing everything ourselves and in the process end up making the business journey way harder than it needs to be.
