Just saw a post where someone had 3x’d their biz revenues since last year – but ended up with the same LOSS as last year!
Yes you read that right – increased their income 300%.
Yes, 300%.
And still ended up with a LOSS.
Just a reminder that every time you see numbers and “data” shared in the online business world – esp by coaches or for course testimonials – ask for the WHOLE picture! Ask what their PROFIT was.
You’ll see many claims about how working with a coach / taking a course helped clients 3x / 100x their prices/income.
What they don’t share – is how much of that was profit?!
And how many other courses/coaches that client has worked with in the past 5/10 years that enabled the client to get to that point. Hey if that client ALSO worked with a business coach, and a marketing strategist, and a copywriter, and an FB ads guru and a bunch of other people – then who really is responsible for that profit?
5x their rate could mean increasing it from $10 to $50. Or from $1000 to $5000.
A 500% increase in revenue could mean increasing actual profit from $10 to $30. Or from $10000 to $300000. Or even a LOSS.
If you’re a woman in business – learn to make your numbers your best friend. Learn to read the numbers – esp what they mean, behind the scenes.
