So, what does it take to make a business successful?
First, let’s get clear, about what’s doesn’t make your business successful.
Working hard doesn’t make your business successful.
Being great at your craft doesn’t make your business successful.
Having a fancy website doesn’t make your business successful.
Having a big heart & giving away a ton of stuff doesn’t make your business successful.
Just helping your clients doesn’t make your business successful.
At the end of the day your business needs to generate an income for you.
Enough for you to live by comfortably. Otherwise, it’s just a hobby.
So, What does it take to make your business successful?
Enough Clients who happily pay for your services/products.
When do clients Happily PAY for your services / products?
When you’re solving a ‘burning’ problem or providing an absolutely tantalizing solution to their problem/situation.
Can you do that with heart?
Absolutely.
Does it mean you stop ‘giving’ free stuff?
Heck no.
It means you wisen up and start packaging you services in way that creates maximum impact for clients and for yourself.
I see too many women give up when their business doesn’t take off.
It’s often not about their skill or service.
It’s about putting in the extra effort to understand what clients want, versus what they need.
It’s about putting in the extra effort to understand what clients say, versus what they left unsaid.
It’s about putting in the extra effort to understand the dreams and desires and aspirations that lie just beneath the surface.
See that mom who wants to loose weight. She doesn’t just want to loose the pounds.
She secretly wants to be the woman she was, before she became a mom.
She wants to feel confident, and comfortable, in her skin.
She wants to be in control of her life once again.
She wants to be attractive to her spouse.
She wants to fit in to those jeans from high school that still sit at the back of the bottom drawer.
But chances are, that’s not what she’ll say.
She’ll say she wants to lose 10kgs of pregnancy weight.
Can you help her with the unsaid desires?
Can you make her see the value you bring to the table?
Can you make her pull out a purse and pay for your services with an eager smile on her face?
That’s what makes a business successful.
